dallas

before heading to orlando, we stopped over for the weekend to spend time with my cousin betty and her family. we got to meet her kids for the first time and we were also lucky to see my aunt and uncle who are in town from india to help with betty and sushil's second baby, maria. mahala and noble had SO much fun with anna who is almost 5. they spent most of the time getting wet in various pools, water parks and fountains! they are still wondering when they are going to see her next :)

soccer season #3

mahala's third soccer "season" has come to an end. this season was filled with goals and more actual games where they play each other in teams of three or four. she has grown a lot especially compared to the first season when she was not very assertive. now we are beginning to see that killer instinct that she shares with her dad!

hatching in ms. shannan's class

the kids watched as, one by one, the eggs hatched into these cute little chicks. they were all adopted out(and boy were we tempted to get some). this was a very exciting thing for all of the kids and they learned quite a bit about egg anatomy.

aric, claudia and santa cruz

we met up with aric and claudia this past weekend. they were in town from the east coast for a family vacation, so we were fortunate enough to make it down there. the kids were shy at first but within an hour they were beating up on claudia :) we had lunch and spent the afternoon on the beautiful beach by their vacation home.

lap-a-thon

manor school did their lap-a-thon today complete with hoses and spray bottles, popsicles and music. mahala did 36 laps - the highest number for girls in her class. go mahala!!! the kids were decked out in their tie-dye t-shirts that we helped make (the inside of our washer is magenta now!). here is mahala with her good buddy zoe.
