quinn's moving on to 7th grade

first family dinner in the new digs!

ammamma and appappan made it to san diego. they are all settled into their new condo and welcomed the ailors and peter-franks with dinner, the house blessing and an overnight with all of us there.

on our way to san diego, we stopped in atascadero to see geri, chuck, cami and coco…and their impressive brood of chickens and ducks. hopefully more trips here soon!

noble also had a fantastic year with ms. t-l. the first graders do a peri park walking field trip and spend the day there to celebrate the end of the year. we all love ms. t-l's warmth and kindness and will miss her so much. and noble appreciated that she was vegetarian and gluten free like him :)

mahala had a fantastic year with ms. honda for fourth grade. every year she has her class make a quilt with some kind of wildlife theme. this year it was animal defense groups - mahala chose one that protects bees :) her quilt square is in the bottom right corner. we can try to win this quilt through auction next school year.

s&d go kayaking

how fortunate we were to have the chance to go kayaking with a local group who, in partnership with the MS society, caters outdoor adventure with disabilities! first time kayaking for both of us. it was such a beautiful day not he bay and we floated around the sausalito houseboats and past boats and seals and such. and fortunately kayaking is really easy even for a water hater like me!
