monterey with the milsteads

we had a fantastic "ski" week in monterey…our dreams of going to shasta were changes by a major drought in the area. so we decided on a beach house in monterey. it was a beautiful week and the beach was right outside the back door. we went with the milsteads and the five kids had a blast collecting sand dollars and chasing very cold waves. the adults got to have conversations - imagine that - because the kids were so entertained by each other. who needs a five hour drive to the snow? definitely going back to this place!

we spent a few nights with the georges. the kids successfully cracked coconuts - good to know that their kerala roots are alive and well! we spent an afternoon at the fair where we watched nyla perform and spent time at the pool as well.
