mahala is 'moving on'

mahala had her kindergarten 'moving on' ceremony two days before the last day of school. noble missed it, but daddy joined us since it was such an important day! she is really excited about going to first grade but is looking forward to a summer of swimming and camps. you'll see her teacher mrs. williams and all 19 of her classmates. it was certainly a great year with so many great kids!

i have been thrilled to see that mahala is really getting into the game and getting some good exercise at soccer. i have even had moments of seeing her competetive side (which she surely gets from her dad)!

windrush farm

we went to windrush farm in petaluma for a school fieldtrip yesterday. it is a working farm with a wonderful farmer named mimi. she has sheep, llamas, alpacas, cows and a pond where the kids got to poke around and collect creatures from. they learned about spinning wool yarn and got to twist their own bracelet, they got to make butter, and they fed plenty of animals. happy spring!
