our gracious hosts

aby and zuwena were the best hosts! feeding us, orienting us to the public transportation, inviting relatives over, letting us take over their apartment and teaching us carom!

the hirshorn

the kids had a great time exploring sculptures and art - these were some of the favorites. all were at the hirshorn museum.

spring break in DC

some of my favorite photos from our spring break trip to dc. the cherry blossoms were in full bloom and the weather was perfect. we went to arlington national cemetery, old town alexandria, the state capitol, the library of congress, ford's theater and the house where lincoln died, the air and space/american history and natural history museums, the bureau of engraving and printing and viewed the white house, lincoln memorial and jefferson memorial…phew!

easter egg dying

easter egg dying with some intense colors and they took a shot at chalkboard paint (which proved to not be such a big hit)

easter brunch

this was a rainy easter so the bunny hid all of the eggs inside this year. grandma, papa and uncle david joined us for a quick brunch to celebrate!
