noble's writing

he hates to share his writing but we think it is awesome!

noble's open house

room 3 monkey tree highlights were studies about dinosaurs, learning where everyone came from and doing a lot of writing and store explorer. he had a great year with ms. shannan!

greek mythology "museum"

at the end of the school year, mr. brown's 5th grade class always does a greek myth presentation. it was to be like a museum where statues of the gods, goddesses and other mythical creatures cam to life and told us about who they were and what their story was. mahala was artemis, also known as diana, the hunter. it was very convenient since she was artemis for halloween!

bees

ms. honda has a connection at a bee garden in berkeley and so we went on a short tour to check out how many types of honeybees we could find. unfortunately it was not sunny so there were not too many - but there was a very friendly one that got passed around. it was a boy and they do not sting!

our gracious hosts

aby and zuwena were the best hosts! feeding us, orienting us to the public transportation, inviting relatives over, letting us take over their apartment and teaching us carom!

the hirshorn

the kids had a great time exploring sculptures and art - these were some of the favorites. all were at the hirshorn museum.
