we had a little extra time in santa barbara to check out the downtown and the beach. and of course the kids (and douglas) loved night swimming!

ucla sculpture garden was the perfect place to hang out during a very hot afternoon when we were visiting kayla.

cousin tour 2016

we spent our "ski week" on an epic cousin tour - taking us from fairfax to san diego and then up along the coast visiting ucla, newbury park, ucsb, cal poly, atascadero and cal state monterrey bay.

6th grade egyptian museum field trip

i chaperoned a 6th grade field trip to the egyptian history museum in san joes - what a random place to find such a great museum. although there were many replicas, there were also some impressive real artifacts, like the mummies.
