mahala's promotion!

congratulations to our first born for making it through six years at Manor Elementary! a ceremony took place followed by a gift presentation the their teacher Mr. Brown and a video of all of the kids from kindergarten through 5th grade. A great group of kids headed to White Hill in the fall!

2nd grade party

The 2nd graders went on a walking field trip to Peri Park to celebrate their second to last day of school. It was a very nice day int eh redwood grove with pizza and snacks and plenty of time to hang out with friends before heading off for the summer.

we enjoyed several music performances this spring: mahala's flute performance at white hill with all of the 5th graders from the district, noble's music class with mr. santucci, and one more flute performance by mahala at the school assembly where all three of us watched mahala with much pride :)

room 3 monkey tree highlights were studies about dinosaurs, learning where everyone came from and doing a lot of writing and store explorer. he had a great year with ms. shannan!

greek mythology "museum"

at the end of the school year, mr. brown's 5th grade class always does a greek myth presentation. it was to be like a museum where statues of the gods, goddesses and other mythical creatures cam to life and told us about who they were and what their story was. mahala was artemis, also known as diana, the hunter. it was very convenient since she was artemis for halloween!
