little jake steals the show!

noble's first play with manor was "annie get your gun" and he was little jake, annie's little brother. he did a fantastic job and was so excited to be part of the play after seeing mahala do so many!

easter

we had a mellow easter since we had been so busy lately. the kids decorated eggs and we had a nice breakfast and egg hunt (and also took mahala to volleyball!). we did some natural dying with beets, red cabbage and onions this time and those eggs turned out really nice!

chef noble

noble isn't really keen on baking but he really got into this time - making a flourless chocolate cake which we then had with raspberry sauce and powdered sugar - yum!

santa barbara

we had a little extra time in santa barbara to check out the downtown and the beach. and of course the kids (and douglas) loved night swimming!

tanner gave the kids haircuts when we visited him - long overdue and well done!

ucla sculpture garden was the perfect place to hang out during a very hot afternoon when we were visiting kayla.

cousin tour 2016

we spent our "ski week" on an epic cousin tour - taking us from fairfax to san diego and then up along the coast visiting ucla, newbury park, ucsb, cal poly, atascadero and cal state monterrey bay.
